Wahhhhh!

Just for the record, I leave in 2 days and I SO don't want to go back home. I'm amazed at how comfortable I am here, and how lovely Nara would be as a place to live: 40 minute drive/train ride in either direction to Osaka and Kyoto, and there's more than enough interesting places in town that Masa and I have already become regulars at.

Buoyed by a Y14000 pachinko win yesterday (About $140 CDN that was spent on a really nice izakaya and more drinks) we decided to buy lottery tickets so I can stay here. It would be perfect: just a few grand to cover rent back home, and to ship my books and records. Wish us luck.
